故事背景设定在未来，那时的人们被一个叫做“永恒”（Eternity）的组织所统治，“永恒”的成员可以操控时间，他们能通过时间旅行改变历史、阻止灾难的发生，抑或是抹去不想要的东西。其中有一个时间警察违反了“永恒”重要规定，爱上了来自另一个时间的女人，故事也就由此展开。
