Bernie Rhodenbarr, bookseller-by-day, burglar-by-night is back in action in his ninth outing. Our burglar finds himself in a jam when he agrees to break into the Paddington Hotel and steal the letters of a famous novelist. Once he arrives, he finds the letters gone, and the agent's dead body...and the police fast on his trail.
